Get ready for your first day
Your supervisor will connect with you ahead of your start date to review your orientation and onboarding schedule.
Three days prior to your start date, you will receive the Oracle Journey task that will provide you the virtual new employee orientation meeting ID and passcode for Zoom.
When: Orientation is held on your start date, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST.
Where: It’s a virtual format, so you can join from home or your work department. Find a quiet place where you can stay engaged in the conversation.
What you’ll need: Attending from your WellSpan department? We'll have computer equipment ready for you. You'll sign in with your work credentials.
Attending from home?
Test your equipment ahead of time to ensure the best experience. Here’s what you’ll need:
Computer or laptop with internet connection
A smartphone or tablet could limit your full viewing experience. If you're using a MacBook or Mac desktop, you may need to download the Zoom application.
Headphones, headset or speakers to hear us
Speakers may already be built into your device. If you're using a MacBook or Mac desktop, you may need to grant Zoom access to your speakers.
Microphone to speak to us
A microphone may already be available on your device or headset. If you're using a MacBook or Mac desktop, you may need to grant Zoom access to your microphone.
Install Zoom and test your sound
Here are instructions for downloading Zoom and testing your speakers and sound.
- Visit the test website.
- Click the blue Join button.
- If Zoom isn’t installed on your device, you’ll be prompted to install it at this time.
- Open or launch the Zoom meeting.
- Click Join with Video.
- In the bottom left corner, click the arrow next to the microphone icon.
- Click Test Speaker & Microphone.
- Follow instructions as prompted to test your speaker and microphone.
- After completing your tests, select the red Leave button to exit Zoom.
