Are you a match?

Candidates likely to be ranked highly in our application process are graduates of U.S. or Canadian medical schools, either allopathic or osteopathic, with good class standing and strong letters of recommendation. We use gold and silver signals as a preliminary filter. Applicants without a signal are highly unlikely to receive an interview invitation.

Our residents work and play well with others and tend to be engaged members of the medical and larger community. While many of our graduates have gone on to subspecialty fellowships, we’re proud to train obstetric and gynecologic specialists who are interested in clinical or academic practices.

Regional ties are great, but we’re also happy to have the opportunity to convince you that Central Pennsylvania should be your home for years to come.

Application information

Application to the Ob/Gyn Residency Program of WellSpan York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania, is exclusively done through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Therefore, we will not review CVs sent to the program.

We currently have five PGY-1 positions for July 2025. The application deadline is October 1, 2024.

IMGs are welcome to apply to our program. We require a J-1 or H-1B visa, green card or permanent residency status.

ECFMG certification must be approved by February 1, 2025.

Please note that your USMLE Step 1 is required as part of your application.

Prior clinical experience isn’t required. There’s no requirement on the time from medical school to application. We don’t offer observerships.

Interviews are held November through early February.
