As an accomplished finance professional with over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, Andrew W. Walker, CPA, is currently the Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasury for WellSpan Health in York, PA. In addition to overseeing all financial and external audit functions for the organization, he leads the integration processes of newly acquired facilities into the organization's financial processes. Andrew is responsible for oversight over financial technical systems, payroll, long range plan and budgeting. Additionally, Andrew oversees the $2.9B investment portfolio for WellSpan Health, $1.3B debt program, and supports the strategic capital planning for WellSpan. He is a strong team builder and facilitator with the ability to effectively manage multiple assignments under pressure.
Andrew has also played key roles in various mergers and acquisitions, including the acquisition of a $320 million health system in the Republic of Ireland and the $1.6 billion acquisition of a health system in Charleston, SC. He was also responsible for the technical accounting, reporting, and policy standardization for the merger of two health systems to form a consolidated $10 billion health system, Bon Secours Mercy Health.
Andrew is a Certified Public Accountant in Kentucky and Ohio. Andrew has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and a Masters of Accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is passionate about developing, transforming, and creating innovative teams to bring value to organizations and their stakeholders. Andrew resides in Edgewood, KY with his wife and two children and enjoys attending professional, collegiate and his children’s sporting events during his free time.
